Adjunct Orientation: Required Information Session for New Adjunct Faculty Online

All new adjunct instructors are required to attend a 75-minute online orientation provided by OFE in collaboration with the Montclair Adjunct Union. This orientation covers the essential details of working and teaching at Montclair, and offers you the opportunity to connect with a faculty developer in OFE as well as other new adjunct instructors on campus. Bring your questions! Sessions will be offered in December 2024 and January 2025.

Mary Wallace

Mary Wallace spent 40 years in public education. Upon her retirement, she joined the Education department of Montclair State University and promptly joined AFT Local 6025 while remaining a lifetime member of the NJEA. As President of Local 6025, she is also chief negotiator for adjunct contracts at both the local and state levels. She is the elected Adjunct Representative for the Council of New Jersey State College Locals where she advocates for all adjuncts across the state. She serves on the Budget Committee and the Adjunct Committee of AFTNJ.

Courtney Crimmins

Courtney Glore Crimmins is a Faculty Developer in the Office for Faculty Excellence and serves as OFE's Adjunct Liaison. She is also an Adjunct Faculty member in the Department of World Languages and Cultures, where she teaches German. Her approach to teaching is based in collaborative, project-based learning. In both the face-to-face and online courses she teaches, students work together in small learning groups, explore authentic digital resources, and use technology to learn the language. Courtney has a Ph.D. in Germanic Language and Literature from the University of Michigan.
