Sharing Your Expertise through Opinion Pieces: A Guided Workshop Online
Want your thoughts on the news of the day – in your own words – to reach millions of readers? Opinion pieces have an ideal format that is widely accepted, and not particularly difficult to learn. The OFE invites you to the second session in our Promoting Your Scholarship series, led by
the Media Relations team. The team will provide a template for writing effective opinion pieces for the news media. Join us to learn and practice the process, as well as review examples from Montclair faculty who have seen their work published in the media. You will also learn about writing guidelines and submission schedules for outlets including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post. ⹍
There will be some time to begin working with the template, so you are invited to bring an idea for an opinion piece.
You do not need to have attended the previous session in this series to attend.
